Trying to enable Wi-Fi on new Linux Mint 17 installation

Dear Users,

I have recently installed Linux Mint 17 on my laptop and am currently trying to get the Wi-Fi to work.
The Qualcomm Atheros is not listed in the driver manager and I am unsure how to progress.
