What happens when you start with the Mint DVD in the drive when you turn power on? Do you see a remark on screen that the BIOS is polling the DVD drive, then ignoring it to boot win7? Or does the boot go directly to win7 and skips the DVD drive?
In win7, does the DVD drive work? Have you compared the md5sum of the .iso you downloaded to the md5sum published at the Mint wetsite? A corrupted .iso would probably not boot, but there should be an error message of some kind on screen. |
Please don't take offense but have you burned the iso correctly? I have seen many users just burn the iso as a file onto a cd.

Hi I have checked the DVD properties and it has downloaded corectly 844,866KB, I have 2 DVD drives and both D and & E drives are working correctly so I feel the problem is a BIOS problem as the D drive is suposed to be the 1st boot followed by the C drive as second boot
