That's a statement, not a question. ;)
What is the problem? Are you trying to create the install CD's from image files? If that's the case, you need to burn the file as an image. You cannot add the big .iso file to a CD layout, that won't work. Most CD burning programs have an option called "Create CD from disk image" or "Burn image" that will do this. Håkan |
It's some what helpful, so what you're saying is, when i re- download this free software package of the fedoracore from the redhat linux site, if i wish to create a startup disk, i need to burn the startup portion as an image file to a blank CD-R disk in order for me to be able to intsall it onto a clean hard drive.

You need to create the install CDs from the downloaded ISO images. Assuming your PC can boot from CDROM you do not need a special startup disk.
What CD burning software do you have installed on your PC? http://www.linuxiso.org/viewdoc.php/howtoburn.html Windows XP or W2K can not natively burn an ISO file to CD i.e. drag and drop. There is a program you can download but I can't seem to find it at the moment. |
