Truncate mailbox


Hai all,

I have 3 users in my production environment who will be getting mails regualrly.. how can I safetly truncate the mail box of the user .. I dont need the old mails..

Guide please

It might depend on the mailbox, but the usual ones I see are just regular files, and if they are missing, the program re-creates the file when needed. So basically you could just remove the mailbox file, if you mean that. A better practise of course is to move it away and see what happens - if it causes trouble, move the file back.
