trouble with winehq

I installed winehq, but for some reason when I try to run wine. I get an error saying KDEInit can not launch /usr/bin/wine. Any solutions?

Hi,

What is your Linux distribution?

How did you install wine please let us know?

Also see you have all these dependencies of wine installed.

winehq is the websites name. The app is called wine.

Either post the distro you are using or add it to your profile. Without knowing which one you are using no one can help you.

Also try using Wine from the command line:

Code:

wine windows-program.exe

1) It is advisable to install 'wine' using a distribution package; and

2) Install a wine version that matches your system version: older wine for an older system.

Good luck.
