trouble with joystick

i have a saitek cybork evo. i tried to use it in a few games but i cant figure out if i have the drivers or not, or if its detecting at all. were do i go from here?

first thing is to get the module loaded to support the game port on the sound card

its a usb joystick so i dont know if that will do anything

you need to make sure you have support in your kernel or as a module

if you do you should # modprob jdev
or if its compiled in

get a program liks jscalibrator
or something like
cat /dev/js0 and move the buttons and see if anything happens

i've another problem, i probe my printer port joystick by using
# modprobe joydev && modprobe parport_pc && modprobe gamecon gc=0,7,7,7,7,7
and it worked, but i've to do it again after boot. Can i make it start automatically at boot?

Add your modprobe commands to the bottom of /etc/rcd/rc.local.
