Trouble playing videos.
I am running fedora 11 gnome version , and I am having a problem with running adobe flash video and Ms video. Is this a license issue thing or maybe try a different player ?

on my Fedora11 I generally use vlc to play media and flash works fine, when I installed the flash player from Adobe.
I did install the gstreamer_non-free and gstreamer-ugly (the names are something like that) from the rpm-fusion repository's to help with codecs and such. |
Check here for information on installing FlashPlayer on Fedora 11:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Flash For windows media files, follow the instructions given in this tutorial. Actually, if you want to ensure that the most commonly installed pieces are installed, follow this from page 1. For only what you've asked for in this post, follow page 4: http://www.howtoforge.com/the-perfec...ra-11-gnome-p4 Hope this helps! Thanks, Jay |
you might also want to look at mjm's page or DangerMouses page

Not having much luck with this, it should not be this difficult to watch a video, but its not that big a deal. Thanks anyway.
