trouble installing redhat 9

okay, i'm a newb at all of which is linux.

with that said, here's the problem:

The cd boots, i hit enter to begin the installation.
when anaconda starts up, it probes the graphics card, the monitor, the mouse, then something else but before i can read it the monitor all of the sudden acts as if the video cable has been unplugged.

i've no clue and would be greatful if anyone has any suggestions.

Hi Ninj4

What RAM?

There could be a problem with Red Hat 9 recognising your Serial ATA drive?
