Question Trouble installing on Asus Imaginebook

Hi. Any and all help will be appreciated. I have recently purchased an ASUS Imaginebook-it currently has Windows 10, has an intel CORE m3 , 8th gen processor.

i have followed all necessary steps in downloading the ISO ans putting it onto a USB stick, as this laptop does not have a disk drive.

The problem is, each time I reboot, nothing happens. It will not give me an option upon restarting to install Linux. Again, I have followed instructions-the ISO is on the USB stick-I used RUFUS and everything to create the ISO for the USB.

ANy and all helpo will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The machine has to be told to boot from the USB drive. I'm not familiar with that model, so I can't tell you how to do that. But somehow you need to access the boot options and boot from the USB.

A quick search turned up this: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1013017

What is the name of the linux iso that you used? Sometimes rufus dd mode will work when the default mode won't.

disable secure boot, fast boot in bios, disable fast boot in windows advance power settings. shrink windows with windows disk management to make room for Linux.

Would suggest to not enabled csm, by enabling csm you will have to use bios booting to swich between linux and windows.
