Trouble Installing Draftsight Software

I am using a system with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS I downloaded Draftsight the .rpm file which didn't work so I downloaded some software to convert it to .DEB
I later found i should have just downloaded the .deb from the DraftSight Web page... rockie mistake.
now the software is installed (kind of) but it doesnt show up in the Software Center. if i Search for Draftsight i can run the .bin file and the software opens. What I want to do is remove it and install from the .deb download from their web site. But I cant figure out how to remove it.
