trouble downloading files from browser
 

I've never had this problem but for some reason I can't download anything from any browser on my system. I get the prompt, click download and choose a directory and the download starts but doesn't really save anything. I've tried several browsers but no success. It does the same when logged into X under root user. \

Any idea what could be causing this?

Is your hard drive full?

How do you know it is not saving anything - exactly?

Also, what distro, browser, etc.

the file didn't show up when I would download. I just figured it out. It was root perms for the folder I was trying to save to.

That would do it!
