trouble compiling a theme engine
i'm trying to compile the gtk-xenophilia theme engine from source, but i'm getting an error. i try ./configure, but it ends in error, saying it can't find GTK.

checking for gtk-config... no
checking for gtk12-config... no
configure: error: Could not find installation of GTK+. Try ./configure --help.

Now, i have checked to make sure i have all rpm's relevant to GTK installed, including the libs, and still have this error.

Where is gtk installed so i can browse around and check everything is there?

Depending on which distribution you use, it could be in a couple different places. The main thing you may want to look into is finding where that may be and editing xenophilia's configure script to point to the proper location of gtk-config. You can try a simple find eg. find / -name gtk-config to find it or a whereis gtk-config. etc,.. etc...
