Can you be more specific about the problem? Which distribution are you trying to install? What kind of hardware do you have? Are there any error messages? Please give us more information about the problem, because we really can't do anything to help with so little to go on.

i use Linux-Mandriva distribution to install.but when i install it then the Windows operating system is malfunctioned.How can i solve it.thank you for your previous reply

Getting better, but: You need to give COMPLETE information.
If I read it correctly, you had Windows installed, then you installed Linux, and then there was a problem. What exactly was the problem?
Can you boot into Linux and is it working?
Assuming that you can boot Linux, open a terminal, enter "su" to become root, and then "fdisk -l" (ell, not one). Post the results here.

Do you have a very slow internet connection?
Perhaps you should try Pigeon, it might be an improvement
