tripwire install

i wasnt sure where to put this thread, but, me being a newbie i decided to throw it inn here.

i do the install.sh as root. and it takes me to the license agreement. i read it over and accept it. then it says
"Using configuration file install.cfg

home/***/tripwire-2.3/install.sh: line 361: install.cfg: No such file or directory"

but... it is there.
all help and opinions are highly appreciated.

If you are using redhat you could look here ...

http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/l...stall-rpm.html

... but I don't think you are using RH? What distro are you using? Are you using th eopen source tripwire or the commerial version of tripwire?

spideywebsling 07-08-2004 06:03 PM

im on fedora core 2. trying to use the open source version

SheldonPlankton 07-08-2004 06:15 PM

Hmmm... I am using RH9. And http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/l...nitialize.html
says that you should run /etc/tripwire/twinstall.sh ... I don't see anything about running install.sh? Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
