Triple Monitor setup question... Eyefinity

So I am looking to build a brand new pc. I'm going to be doing most of my work under a Linux Distro but will also have Win 7 installed just to play games on. I am wanting to build it with 3 monitors hooked up for panaramic viewing. Here's my question:

The Video Card I am looking at is the ATI Radeon HD 5750 (or anything on up). It has two DVI outputs, 1 DisplayPort Out, and One HDMI Out. ATI has a technology called Eyefinity which allows three monitors to be hooked up via the 2 DVI's and DisplayPort. However on their website it says this is only supported via Windows but also states that Linux support is on its way. Does anyone know if this is available and ATI's website isn't up to date?

Or would I be better off purchasing two video cards, connecting them via CrossFireX, and connecting three monitors via 3 (out of 4) DVI's available? I feel that both OS's would support that route..

Overall you may get 2/3 on linux and all 3 in win.
