tried to play a dvd, said "no dvd decryption library"
very new to linux. fast learner! updating to the newest version has taken care of all of my problems except How to watch a dvd.
details: dell LATITUDE D610 laptop, QIMO was original install on the Ubuntu. at first it did not recognize the wifi, dvd drive, and was glitchy. updated everything, then noticed the Ubuntu had a new release so updated that. bam wifi working, dvd RW working, but cannot watch a shrink wrapped dvd. i choose linux because i was wanting to build an educational computer for my 5 year old son, when i found QIMO, oh my God! then with how superfunctional this machine has become, and i have yet to learn much about the system! so how do i get my dvd player to let me watch a store bought movie? thanks nateybill's dad |
Have you installed libdvdcss? Also look at dmesg output.
