Transparent windows

I want to have red hat have transparent windows like in knoppix.
How can this be accomplished?

I also would like to have a normal install of kde desktop.
I don't like blue curve at all. I don't remember earlier versions of red hat embedding its self.

you can change the theme in kde from bluecurve back to any of the kde themes. (i think in "look and feel", i'm not at my computer right now)

i remeber having transparent windows once, i think there's just an option for window background somewhere in the themes setup or maybe under preferences in a konqerer window.

sorry i'm not to precise here, i use gnome.

Lawful,

you can use either
aterm http://aterm.sourceforge.net/
or
eterm http://www.eterm.org/
both are like xterm but they support transparency.

Enjoy
