Hey folks. was wondering how to make certain program windows become transparent? Specifically, I was wondering how to make GAIM transparent, and how to make the rxvt console with a black background and transparent. Any help would be awesome, thanks :)

rxvt will take options to be transparent, e.g., rxvt -tr -rv etc. they're probably explained in man rxvt. sorry, don't use gaim. i believe this directfb app is supposed to give transparency to your apps, though, you might want to give it a try.

you could also search google or the forum. transparency questions are very common.
