Transfer of addressbook from one computer to another

I have installed fedora 11 on a new computer and evolution. With help of a friend I transferred my mail from one computer to another and we thought that we did the same with the addressbook. The transfer to the mail was successful, and so were the calendars, tasks and memos.

However, when wishing to use the addressbook I got this error message:

Error loading addressbook
This addresbook cannot be opened. Please check that the path /home/Jenni_and_Adri/.evolution/addressbook/local/system exists and that permissions are set for access.

The fact is that the new computer has been identified as Janda and not anymore as Jenni_and_Adri. How can I activate my Contacts on my new computer?

Did you try running it as root? That is usually the problem with trying to create or move stuff in Fedora.

to become root type: su -

see if this works, but are you using the command line? if it has the name of the old computer it could just be moving the files in the old computer.

It is slightly more trouble but one that surely works. EXPORT your old address book to a CSV file, put the file onto a pendrive, plug the pendrive into the new computer and IMPORT the addys.
