Touchpad problem

I use an acer laptop. I am running FC11. My touchpad works just fine when I am moving the cursor. But, tapping cannot select anything. I have to use the buttons designated for it. Can anyone help me out??

And I needed codecs to play .avi files. Could anyone tell me about that too.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Hi,

System >> Preferences >> Mouse
Touchpad tab >> "Enable mouse clicks with touchpad"

For media codecs etc try the Livna repository: http://rpm.livna.org/

cheers,
