tools and stuff?
 
it seems like to do anything in linux you need to no a code or have a tool...like to change desktop displays and install programs its like all a code?...i dont know if id be ready for that since windows its all interface friendly

Well, what you are overlooking is the fact that even Windows windows are a tool.

DOS is not flexible unless you know how to use it to its extent, thats why you find yourself confused at the shell.

Display settings and program installation can be done using GUI tools by most distros.

wat is GUI tools?..like what does that look like?

GUI meand Graphic User Interface. Simply - menus, windows and so on.

yeah, linux has really nice GUI tools... for example, synaptic...

with synaptic, you can install/uninstall/upgrade any package you want with a couple mouse clicks...
