tomcat6 system wide installation on ubuntu8.4

Hi ,
I am using ubuntu8.4 desktop version and want to install tomcat6 server. I tried with this command

#apt-get update
#apt-get install tomcat6

But the system couldnt find tomcat6 package and the message "couldnt find package tomcat6" is shown.i used to install tomcat6 that way before on ubuntu9.10 server.but i cant do it this time on 8.4 desktop . I think i need to edit some files related with apt-get.right? Somebody help me out to do that, please .

Hi,

If you can't find a tomcat6 package for your version of Ubuntu, you can get the tomcat binary from apache and install it.
Take a look at this howto for help
