To the effect of, starting kubuntu, and Okular not opening PDFs automatically.

Kubuntu Lucid

I keep an array of PDFs, a dozen or so, open on a desktop at all times.
At every system start, I get a small dialog window, for each of these PDF files, that says,
"Could not open /tmp/example.pdf".
After closing the pile of dialog windows, I then need to manually load each PDF, every time.

These files are on a FAT32 partition.
Not sure what to do so that these PDFs will load automatically every time.

what could be the source of the problem?

I did not have this problem with earlier versions of Kubuntu. Whenever I would power-down, I would simply leave Okular and all the PDFs as is, so at next system start they would auto load.

How do I make them auto load at system start?
Fixing this problem will greatly increase my productivity.

Thanks
