to run dos programs --> dosbox, wine, or...?
hello,
i have an old dos accounting program which i badly need right now, but i'm currently using suse, and that means (to my opinion) that i have to use an emulator program. i have tried dosbox. it's cool, but the program has many files (>200 files) and that makes dosbox very slow when accessing the program. right now, i'm about to try using wine. but does anyone probably know other emulator program/way to run that old program of mine? thanks in advance, efm |
I hate to say this, but I have found that DOSBox on Windows is WAY faster than DOSBox on Linux (at least on my machine). If you have access to Windows, why not get the Windows version of DOSBox and try running your needed app in DOSBox under Windows?

I don't want to use Windows anymore :) but I still need that old program..hmm...
right now, I'm trying to use dosemu. I found no luck in wine (when I ran the program with wine, it only shown me debug info)... and yes, dosbox in windows is lot faster than in linux, it happens with me too, thanks |
