Smile to add spare disk

Hi every one
I need a shell script which add's spare disk or device(extra space) to the existing filesystem??

plz help me out,,,,,,

Adding another drive to the existing filesystem is as easy as mounting it to a partition within the existing filesystem. It is just one command, a script is not really necessary.

Unless you are talking about something more specific, like LVM?

ya it's like lvm itself but but here i add the spare disk or device to the file system created by me using mdadm...
but i need the shell script which does adding on executing and the disk no should increment on each execution the incremented value
should be stored ...... and use for another execution of that script...
