timestamp on root-server should fit to the current UTC - how to adjust?

while trying to configure some amazon-aws-plugins on the webserver - i encountered some errors.

Error: RequestExpired: Request has expired. Timestamp date is 2011-11-19T17:01:04.000Z.

Solution: Most likely the server time is wrong. Please check that or contact your server administration. The timestamp should fit to the current UTC time you can find for example here: http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_UTC.aspx

how to fix this - how to treat this error?

What can i do.

note: i run a root server - and the my friend does all the backend work - ´i allready have sent him a email
what does he need to do!?

love to hear from you

greetings

Make use of ntpdate to adjust your server clock. You can then cron it to check/adjust your time on a regular basis.

Almost the same thing you asked before:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...at-4175497530/

...with the same error message. Amazingly, the Amazon documentation still has the answers you could have looked up
http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonClo...TRequests.html

Again, as before, your system clock is off. Set the time correctly..either do it manually or with NTP.
