Question Timeshift not restoring

hello,

After trying an upgrade to Mint 19 Tara from Mint 18.3 Sylvia, I installed back Mint 18.2 and launched a restoration with Timeshift. At first it failed, so I tried several different snapshots, but at this point, nothing new happens on rebooting.
here is the terminal result:

~ $ sudo timeshift --restore --snapshot '/media/agiaraqti/3b97693c-c6e5-4dbb-b021-f825dedc79fd/timeshift/snapshots/2018-09-12_22-40-37' --target /dev/sdb1

(process:3937): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_icon_theme_get_for_screen: assertion 'GDK_IS_SCREEN (screen)' failed

(process:3937): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_icon_theme_append_search_path: assertion 'GTK_IS_ICON_THEME (icon_theme)' failed
E: Could not find snapshot: '/media/agiaraqti/3b97693c-c6e5-4dbb-b021-f825dedc79fd/timeshift/snapshots/2018-09-12_22-40-37'
E: Snapshot not selected

thank you for your help!

Seems fairly clear.
Point it to a snapshot that actually exists.

Just to clarify, you say that after attempting to upgrade Mint 18.3 to Mint 19, you "installed back Mint 18.2". How did you do that if you didn't do it with TimeShift? Was it a clean installation of Mint 18.2?

Also, out of interest, why did you go back to 18.2 instead of 18.3?
