time displayed is not the same as system clock

Can anyone explain how I get the clock on my toolbar panel (the one with Applications, Places and System) to display the time the system clock is set to?

The system clock automatically changed to BST

[ ~]$ date
Mon Mar 31 09:21:42 BST 2008

but the clock on the panel is still showing GMT. If I right click on the clock on the panel and select "Adjust data & time" the "Date/Time properties" window shows the time as set to BST.

I took a screen shot which might make my problem clearer.

I'm on...
Fedora core 7
DELL optiplex 745

OK I got it.

In clock preferences (right click on clock and then preferences) I had "Use UTC" ticked so I un-ticked it and the correct time is now displayed.
