TigerVNC connection refused 111

Im installing Rocks Cluster 6.2 with CentOS 6. I'm using the command #rocks-console compute-0-0 to be able to view the nodes during their download with TigerVNC. When i do this it gives me the error message "unable connect to socket: Connection refused (111)."

Looking online i think I've identified the problem to be closed firewall ports, but i dont know how to open them.

Any help is welcome, thanks in advance.

Code:
# firewall-cmd --permanent --add-service vnc-server
# systemctl restart firewalld.service
How about that? If you need to open specific port:

Code:
# firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-port=5904/tcp
if that is port that you need. If you want to do it permanently, add --permanent as it is shown before. That is if you use default firwalld zone which is public.

Oh, sorry, disregard this, firewalld is not part of centos 6, thought that it is centos 7.

Hi,
I am facing the same issue on rocks 6.2 ( Centos 6.6), i can not connect to my compute node and to a new installed NAS through VNCtiger. I have the same error message. "unable connect to socket: Connection refused (111)."

I have even try terminal command and forcing vnc to ssh port 22 with " #rocks-console compute-0-0 - p 22", but no way, same error pointing out authentication issue .

Did you find out a solution to the issue ?

Thanks
