This ain't anything like NT
hi
Thay say third time is a charm and maybe this time I will get an answer:) My NIS server has NISDOMAIN=mincomp, but my client has NISDOMAIN=SomeElse entry in /etc/sysconfig/network file. But for some reason Im still able to log in on client with ussername that exists on NIS server. Why did NIS server allow client from different domain to join the domain and log in? In NT world only members of the same domain could use domain's passwords thank you bye //Nevermind...It was a stupid question |
You might get a better response to your question if you post subject better.
ie... "Converting NIS from NT" or something to that effect. .stan |
