this is getting frustrating
ok .. I downloaded and installed Netscape ... now ever time I go to type in a URL I start with www. and a freeking window will popup in the lower right hand corner of my screen asking me what to open it with ... how do I shut that off?!?!?!?!?!
I am running Redhat 7.3 with KDE Thanks! |
Upgrade to a modern distro then install mozilla-firefox you will be much happier since netscape on UNIX and Linux has always sucked.
|
That sounds familiar. That might be related to a setting in the so-called 'kicker' thing that usually shows up in the task bar near the clock.
Or not. |
so Mozilla-firefox will not run on 7.3?
|
yep... man... that was way back in 2002.
http://www.justlinux.com/forum/showt...threadid=71762 It's klipper, not kicker. edit: Right click on the little K clipboard and deselect "Enable Actions" |
Thank you! .. Man that thing was annoying! ..
as a person on the other thred wrote "Klipper is the devil`s work! 666" .. LOL .. |
