there are many consoles/terminals in KDE. whats the difference?


there are konsole, terminal, X terminal, gtkcomm and etc. what is the difference among each one? can anyone share me your knowledge? i did a search in board but no result, here we go the question. thanks in advance!

If memory serves me best

I would think some have more functions and commands than other
also I do belive that they have been introduced with time... and as for linux if x is better than y for some reason, as long as they have different feature x won't be thrown away because y has come they will still consider many of us still love x both will still be shipped with the distro and you the installer will have the choice either to install it or not... which wouldn't be the case with an upgrade ..

i do think so. but the detailed concept is confused me, is there any material to read to get the exictly info about the differences? thank you conceptx!
