Theme Manager for KDE 3.5
Hi,
I installed a theme (.tar.gz) and extracted it just fine. I'm using slackware 12.2 and KDE 3.5. I do have a theme manager, but when I click on a button to 'install new theme' all I have is empty folders to choose from. Is there a simple command I can use to install this theme into 'theme manager' so I can use it? |
You don't extract it, just browse to the .tar.gz file and select it.

Two problems,
It only shows folders to choose from, and when I type 'Azenis_Theme1.1.tar.gz' and select it it doesn't do anything. When I try to install the folder, it's all empty. Am I right in using KDE 3.5 theme manager? |
Decompress the Azneins Theme and find the readme.pdf inside. It tells you how to install the theme.

I don't have a reply
I don't have a reply I just wanted to see if my member number showed up. But I am interested in the open source Virtual software I'm about to buy VMware.

Unfortuantely the instructions are for Ubuntu and not Slackware, it's nothing alike. I've noticed there are a lot of different files that are tarred in the Azenis_Theme. It seems kind of odd to untar each folder inside Azenis_Theme when I've untarred the main folder already. I could be wrong though. I mean there are a lot of files to untar. |
It's not a theme that changes your environment automatically. It's not meant for the Theme Manager. You have to manually apply the theme to the parts you wish to change. The only theme you can import is the one for the KDM Theme Manager which is under Administration. It will change your login screen theme.
I hope this clarifies things. |
