theme installation problem
Hey I am having a really hard time installing themes I have read all over the internet and no one seems to have the same problem as me. My problem is when I try to open up the appearence option to install a new theme the whole desktop goes grey and all my icons go away, the same thing happens when I try to go to assistive technologies, but when I restart my computer it turns on fine but no themes are installed and when I try again the same thing happens. And earlier I could not even access the appearence option I had to fix that problem first and even tho i can access apearences it doesnt work. I am using the newest version of unbuntu also. I really want to use themes but it wont work, please help

i am assuming that you are using Gnome ? and the "theme " is from Gnome look ? and it is a current one , Not one from 5 years ago ?
What theme is it can you post a link ? |
all of the themes dont work it was a mac osx theme, and also when i right click the desktop the desktop settings is not an option so the only way I can acces appearance is in terminal with this command
" :gnome-panel & and that allows me to access apearences but then apearences doesnt work any ideas |
why are you trying to install a mac osx theme on Ubuntu?
|
I think it looks cool and for the dock, but I would settle for any other cool looking themes
|
we will STILL need a link to it so we can suggest a theme
