the requested phpmyadmin url not found on server.


I just installed php in via tar file but when i am trying to exceess it through http://192.168.1.100/phpmyadmin..
giving this msg..
"the requested phpmyadmin url not found on server."

you said you installed php, you didn't say you installed phpmyadmin...

Hi thanks for the reply....i am using centos 6.2....and i thnk i installed phpmyadmin in home directory bt then i moved it to mv phpMyAdmin-3.5.1-all-languages /usr/local/apache2/htdocs and installed through dere..
....
but still having same problem

you'll probably have more fun if you install from rpm - http://pkgs.repoforge.org/phpmyadmin/ for one thing, that's not the default documentroot on EL6, it's /var/www/html/

erm, so you've no idea how to use rpm files at all? Interesting. For a start that link is a page to multiple packages, and isn't a package in itself. use this guide http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalRes...ories/RPMForge and then run "yum install phpmyadmin"

the docs VERY clearly say that htop was an example of installing something.

But you clearly have not installed the repoforge-release package either way.
