The peculier CD
 

Hi friends,

I have one samsung printer driver CD which shows only windows related files when put under windows..If you put in linux , it shows only linux files..!!!!!

How it is possible..?

Any game with file system structure ?

The sollution would be greatly appreciated.

You shouldn't post the same thing in two forums. It won't get you no good. And maybe I'm missing something but what's a 'printer driver CD'? AFAIK, a printer is used to print something, a CD drive has its own purpose and a driver is a software program.

Thanks .. no comment for posting in two forums...

I mean to say, there are files for windows printer driver and there are some other files for linux..take there are two sets of files.
In that CD they have written in such a way that one set of files can be seen in WINDOWS and oher set of files can't be seen, In Linux, ther reverse is true.

Hope you understood the problem and give me a technique behind this..

Ok, now I got it. It's the CD with the printer drivers on it. Sorry, my mistake (I slept too little last night).
You say that certain files can be seen only by one OS at a time :scratch: That seems possible to me only if that CD is multisessioned written, a session under Widnows and one under Linux. Even so, Linux should have no problems in reading it as Linux can see NTFS but Windows cant see ext2,3, etc.

Or you maybe you mean that some files can't be used under the other OS. That would make more sense.

However, if you're in the first situation, I can't help you, sorry, I'm a sort of n00b myself.

Yeah,..Linux can display NTFS file but windows can't display ext2..ext3 like..

I want to know if there is any other file system which Linux can't read/display..

Anybody having any clue ?

It is very peculier now..:-))
