Thanks all, its true, all distros run fast like a bitch, some a little faster than other, but all them are WAY BETTER than the os my netbook had installed by default.
I'm just thinking of buying an SSD and sticking Linux on it with one of these - anyone done? Also I thought I remembered there were problems with some driver support for these on Linux - anyone who can confirm whether you can get it running smoothly? I'm thinking ideally I'd like to run Neverware....
