Ok heres my prob in detail. I have a pppoe adsl conection that requires ethernet hense the e at the end of pppo. so i do not need to install a modem. my drivers for my ethernet card is properly installed. i am running mandrake 9.1. any way for some reason i cant use pppoe to conect to the net. so i have taken a different approach by setting up a network. unfortunatly all the comps on the network are windows. WINDOWS WINDOWS WINDOWS. its a windows network and an xp pc is the gateway. so u conected the lan card to the switch and bam. nothing happens. i try configureing it to match the network. still nothing happens. i cant even ping other computers on the network.when i try to ping it says from 192.168.0.2 icmp_seq=(number of times its tried) Destination host unreachale.

i have no clue what to do. right now i just want to conect it to the network then ill be happy. if any one can provide any help at all i'll be very happy. oh and on my switch the little light blinks so its not idle.
