This forum is a great resource for having your technical questions answered. I've been the recipient of free help numerous times before I was able to start helping answer some questions myself. We do it for free to pay it forward as thanks for being the recipients of free help ourselves.
One way you can immediately show your appreciation for the free help you receive now, is to 'Thank' those that help you. It's an almost hidden feature of the forums so I'd like to point it out in hopes that more people use it:
If you've been helped by someone answering any of your questions, please take a second and click the "Thumbs Up" icon in the user's post. Behold the 'Thanks' button:
haha. thanks! I almost accidentally found it and wanted to share it with everyone to keep the spirit alive... there's not much incentive to stick around and keep answering questions but appreciation is a huge motivator in my book.
I even went back to some of my old bookmarked threads where I learned something and thanked the people who helped me out in the past after I learned about this.
Aw dang! I used YOUR design to make an animated gif with a flashing thanks, but the system discarded the other frames when I uploaded it! Shoot! hahaha
yes your design wins (for now) KHAAAAAAAAAANNN!!!!!!!!
