I need a bit of help on this, I'm running fedora core 6 and I have it all set up the way I like it almost. I want it to boot in text mode only and do not what X to start by its self. There used to be a check box during install (RedHat9 and before) that let you make that decision but I see that is now gone.

I want to install fluxbox (very old hardware) as the default X if I do decide to use a GUI. I have installed flux but can’t figure out how to make core 6 boot into text mode so I can select it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

To boot in text mode, just edit your /etc/inittab and change this line :
