Text Editing between Linux & Windows

What [free] text editor are you using that doesn't add extra line feeds, carriage returns or extra hidden characters when editing scripts in Windows and then transferring them directly to Linux for execution?

notepad++ is the best editor i know for these purposes.

With the dos2unix and unix2dos tools, you should be able to use any editor you want.
