Terraria install help

Yesterday i bought terraria and since downloading off the steam and not knowing how to do it myself since i just got steam to work i look up THIS tutoriaL andn everything worked well until here:

Step 7a: If you get a message that .NET is already installed, use regedit and delete this Node:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4
Then return to Step 7 above.

i receieed the same problem but my only issue is what file am i supposed to edit with regedit here?

regedit will always edit the registry, you don't have to specify a file. Just start it with

regedit

i deleted tyhe node but i still get the same error that the same or higher version of .NET framework 4 is already installed, i tried installing .exe launcher and running it with wine but i got "Get thread context failed"

Sorry, i don't own Terraria, so I can't help you with the install procedure.
