Terminal commands


OK this has to be a dumb question but the hell with it,
Imagine this; I'm in the terminal and I want to open the xorg.conf file so
I'm going in the etc en X11 folders, but then what is the command to open en change xorg.conf.
I tryed several things but I can't find it.
Please help..
