terminal autologout
Using Mandrake 9.1 on a P3 1.3GHz with 128MB RAM onboard video/sound/network.
I'm trying to get the term to autologout if I'm idle for more than 5 minutes. I tried the command "set autologout=300" but it's not working (just watched about 30 mins of a movie and I'm still sitting there logged in). Would this be the correct way about doing this, or is there a seperate way that can do the same function? |
Code:
man bash Cheers, Tink |
I've read the man pages, and I didn't mention I had also tried set TMOUT=300 but it's to no luck either..
Do I actually add this line to ~/.profile ? I didn't have that file before, and I created it just a bit ago and added TMOUT=300 to it but I don't think that it is working either.. |
