Temp Full

Good day. I am using Mandrive 2005LE. I was going to check how one of my hard drives was mounted when I started running into a problem. I thought that I would log out & then log back in again & try again. When I logged out my system told me that my temp was full. How do I get to the temp? Is it the tmp file or is it a file in my profile? What can I do to clean it out? Thank you for any help you can provide.

It shouldn't do any hard to clear your /tmp file (as far as I know). To do that, log in as root and execute this command:

rm -fr /tmp/*

Don't worry about 'Permission denied' messages if any appear. This may not be the source of your problem but it is worth a try.

But please type slowly and double-check what you've typed before you hit enter. Messing up that command is an easy way to accidentally delete every file on your system.
