telnet problem
Hi all;
I am using SUSE Linux Enterprise Server SP2. I have enabled telnet on this machine. But when I telnet the machine and enter the "root" user and its password, the message "Login Incorrect" appears, although the credential is true. Aslo, I have not problem with any other users, just root. Can anyone help me? Thanks |
Found the problem according to the following post:

Telnet is insecure, and should not be used.
Use ssh instead. |
Thanks for your suggestions. Actually I am preparing for Linux+ exam.

Also, most distros have root login via telnet disabled (at least that has been my experience anyway). Unless I am connecting to my BBS, I use SSH for remote access to the server. |
