well i am a bit new to linux and all that opensource things. today i have a question regarding Thunderbird: tbird - what does it fetch from the server: mails or headers? i have no glue. well - do i have the option to configure the behaviour!? |

If you use POP3, a client would usually download the entire mail messages, and that is also the default setting in Thunderbird. But you can also set it to read headers only, so it can display a list of new mail with sender, subject etc. When you click on a message to read it, the actual message text is retrieved.
