tbird - enigmail issues after successful zypper-update on opensuse!?

hello dear linux experts

after online-live-updgrade wirth zypper up (from version 12.3 to version 13.1) i have issues with starting thunderbird.

note: i have had tbird in combination with enigmail (and passwords that are stored in KGpg

what i have noticed during the start of tbird:

Quote:
Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in
your application's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your
hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you continue
to use this session, you might see incorrect application behaviour when accessing security features.
i have no glue

well - i have to say that the update process - was an overall success.
but i have to confess: i have not copied the passwords - all that stuff i have not done yet

but no have stored the passwords - so i can do some import of passwords into the KGpg

well what do you say - what is needed to get Tbird
(with enigmail) up and running

love to hear from you
greetings

say

update -and
note:
well - on a first glance i have noticed that the keys allready are imported - or in other words - are allready included in KGPG.

but - as i experienced: i cannot fetch any mails from any account within thunderbird`!!
what do you say

Ok, we will go back to what we've told you before:
  • We STILL have no idea what you mean when you say "I have no glue".
  • We advised you SEVERAL TIMES, in different threads to DO A FRESH INSTALL and not to do an update. You ignored that advice.
  • Unless you COMPLETE the update (and actually copy your passwords/files over), they will obviously not be available to you.
  • Since you did an upgrade (again, AGAINST what you were advised), you have to generate new keys, as you did the first time you ran the application. The error you received is very clear...did you read/understand it? Have you checked the permissions on the directory? Did you follow the first-time setup instructions??
