taskbar problem

Running SuSe9.3. I was clicking around too fast and I accidently moved my taskbar to the side. I finally moved it back up top, but now it's freaking huge and gosh darn it, I can't figure out how to make it smaller. Maybe somebody can answer this easy question.
I need that bar like 10x smaller!

I have done this too, but at the moment can't for the life of me remember what I did to get it back to normal. I want to say I deleted my ~/.gnome2 directory to get everything back to the defaults, but if you do that, you will need to re-do any customizations you have made to the panel. If that's not a big deal, you might try it.

As an alternative, can you right click anywhere on the panel to get the properties and change them? Just a friendly hint: when describing your problem, you might want to say what desktop environment you are running. I know you are running Gnome because I have been using Gnome since the 90's, but others may not. Good idea including the screenshot! Had you not, I would have had to ask what DE you are running.

Yea, thanks. I knew it was something simple. I forgot that there was blank taskbar space underneath the shortcuts I put. You just right-click the blank space > properties > size . Obviously.

Glad you got it - at least you know when you get to be 90 years old and your eyesight is going, there is a "Readers Digest" big print version of the taskbar...:D
