targeting display from ssh?

Hello all,

I've a machine running ubuntu that boots into Gnome. There's no monitor or keyboard attached.

What I'd like to do is to ssh from my main machine and run realplay.

realplay complains when i run it from my ssh terminal, it needs a display. Is there a way to target the display thats already running?

(I've tried using the commandline version 'splay' (which is fine but recently has started to crash), I've also tried installing trplayer - but i can't get that to install under ubuntu. )

muchos thanks for any help
